Fed Facts: the Real Deal focuses on five different scenarios which depicts
various enhanced federal penalties surrounding drug offenses. The scenarios include
drug trafficking, conspiracy, misprision of a felony, drug sales within 1000 feet
of a school, distributing drugs to a person under 21, counterfeit drugs, distribution
of drugs causing bodily harm and use of a firearm in a drug offense.
Branching
video simulations provide opportunities for students to view a drug transaction,
listen to responses of a peer jury, find out who was charged with a drug trafficking
offense and listen to a United States District Judge explain the law as it relates
to the conduct. The program's objective is to provide an overview of federal penalties
to dispel some youthful misconceptions concerning the legal consequences of drug
involvement.
