Confidential Informant A person who provides information to a law enforcement agency on the express or implied guarantee of anonymity. An individual hired by law enforcement to obtain incriminating statements from another individual. The confidential informant may be seeking monetary compensation or reduction of his/her sentence (if they are facing criminal charges or have previously been sentenced) in exchange for their assistance.

topSchedule The Controlled Substances Act (CSA) places all substances that are regulated under existing federal law into one of five schedules.
